MADAN MOHAN TEMPLE

An ancient Goswami temple in Vrindavan, Madan Mohan temple is found in the vicinity of the Kaliya Ghat. The temple originated on the Dwadasa Aditya hill, 50 feet above the ground which provides for an enthralling view of the scenic ambiance around the temple.

The name of the temple, Madam Mohan, translates to Madan meaning Kamadeva (Lord of love) and Mohan refers to the person who has the capability to charm. It is said that the temple is built on the resting place where lord Krishna emerged out of the Yamuna river after his win over Kaliya Nag.
