Kumhrar Park is a historical park which is supposed to have the remains from the Maurya Dynasty. Further, even the remains of the ancient city of Patliputra were also excavated and were taken under the control of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
Historical Facts:
-All the ruins here are related to the Mauryan Period and come with various stories related to them. The famous one is that the 80 pillar hall where the third Buddhist Council was
held in 250 BCE, under the reign of Mauryan Emperor Ashoka.
-This pillared hall is located around 350 metres south to the palisades of the city.
-Many people consider this hall to be “a pleasure hall” outside the city.
