Kok Tobe is a popular tourist destination in Almaty and is easily accessible via a cable car. The place is ideal for family picnics and romantic dates. Located at the top of the Kok Tobe Mountain, this famous destination offers a breathtaking view of the city.
Once you reach you will see one of the tallest TV towers in the world. You can admire it from the outside as visitors are not allowed to enter the place. There is a park as well which is home to a mini zoo, a mirror maze, and several rides. You can go on the Ferris Wheel and soak in the gorgeous view of the city from a 1,130 m altitude.
A group of people created the CIS monument in 2001 which was dedicated to the Beatles. Along with that, there are several entertainment options for kids and adventure enthusiasts. Restaurants are also available at the location so that you can indulge in a hearty meal after exploring.

By Car: Kok Tobe is approximately 9.3 km from the Almaty City Centre and it will take you around 15 minutes to reach the destination.
By Cable Ride: Cable car tickets are available at 2000 tenge for a single person. It operates throughout the week between 10 a.m. and 12 a.m.
Kok Tobe is open to the public throughout the year.
