KOSCIUSZKO MOUND

The Kościuszko Mound is a spectacular artificial mound made by the people of Krakow to honour their influential leader Tadeusz Kościuszko. Built in the late 19th century, its serpentine path leads to the top, from where you can get stunning views of Krakow city. It also has a fort around it, built by the Austrian military to guard the lookout point.

The Kościuszko Mound is a beautiful artificial mound and is one of the best places to see in krakow. It was made by the people of Krakow to commemorate the influential national leader Tadeusz Kościuszko. It is based in the mounds of Krak and Wanda, two ancient moulds of Krakow. It has a spiralling and serpentine path that makes its way through the top which is as high as 330 m. Once you make your way to the top, you’ll be gifted with awesome views of the city and the Vistula River as well.
