KANKARIA LAKE

Kankaria Lake was earlier known as Hauz-E-Qutub and served as a bathing area for the sultans of that era. It now features a beautiful island-garden in the center with a splendid summer palace known as Nagina Wadi. Kankaria Lake is one of the best places to visit in Ahmedabad to indulge in a picnic.

You can also enjoy the various activities such as toy train rides, tethered balloon rides, kid’s city and boat rides  at the entertainment zone. The area around the lake is a perfect place to enjoy a relaxing evening stroll.

There are also other activities that you can indulge in here such as archery, gymnastics and water rides. The Kankaria Lake Carnival, held here during the last week of December is celebrated with great enthusiasm with people visiting from around the country during this time.

Entry Fee: Free for all between 4 AM to 8 AM. Rs. 5 for kids below the age of 12 and Rs. 10 above the age of 12.

Timing: 4 AM to 11 PM every day except Monday. No entry between 8 AM to 9 AM and 10 PM to 11 PM
