1. By Car: The Japan National Stadium is 7.3 km from the city centre of Tokyo, it will take 15 min via the Shutokōzoku 4-gō Shinjukusen/ Route 4 Ando Kōshū kaidō route to reach by car.

2. By Bus: Take a bus to Sendagayaeki-Mae bus stop which is 290 m away from the stadium. You can reach the activity location from the bus station with a 5-minute walk

3. By Subway: Take a subway to Kokuritsu-kyogijo Station which is 63 m away from the stadium. You can reach the location from the subway station with a 1-minute walk

4. By Train/ metro: Take a train to Sendagaya Station which is 350m away or Shinanomachi Station which is 500 m from the stadium. You can reach the location from Sendagaya Station with a 5-minute walk and from Shinanomachi Station with an 8-min walk.

Best Time To Visit

The Japan National Stadium is open throughout the year for public viewing except for when it is hosting any game or event.

1) Best Season: Spring is the best season to visit the Japan National Stadium and if you visit in the spring months from March to May, you will enjoy mild temperatures and less rainfall.

2) Best Day in the Week: Weekdays are the best days of the week except when there is an ongoing game or event at the stadium. During weekdays, there is less crowd and you will be able to enjoy exploring the place at your own pace.

3) The Best Time of the Day: As the stadium is an outdoor stadium, the best time of the day to visit the place is in the morning when the weather is mild and suitable for outdoor activities.

Visitor Tips:

1. You can take the free-and-easy Japan National Stadium tour between 11 am to 6 pm.

2. You will need to register for that tour more than 5 days in advance of taking it.

3. Entry into the stadium takes place every 30 minutes but you can stay inside for up to an hour.

4. If you need a break, feel free to sit on the players’ benches.
