By Car: The King’s Palace or Istana Negara is located around 8 km from the city centre of Kuala Lumpur. You can easily reach the palace in approximately 10 minutes via the Jln Tuanku Abdul Halim route. You can either take a local taxi or book a cab online which will directly drop you off in front of the palace. 

By Bus: For a more budget-friendly option, you can also opt for the local buses to reach the palace. You can take bus numbers like T819, T820, T821, PBD1 and 851. These buses offer a stop at MRT Semantan station which is the nearest bus stop to the palace, situated only 1 minute walk away.

By Train: One of the most convenient ways of travelling to Istana Negara is by train. You can take either train line 1 or 2 to Bank Negara which is the nearest train station to the palace. Once you reach the station, you can enjoy an approximately 12-minute walk to your destination.
