HOWLETTS WILD ANIMAL PARK

The original wildlife park in Kent, Howletts, offers a journey unlike any other being an organisation that works dedicatedly for the conservation of animals. It is home to more than 390 animals, including the most significant African elephant herd in the UK and only gigantic anteaters in Kent, as well as more gorillas, monkeys, and leopards than anywhere else. 

The Howletts wildlife park runs a successful breeding program to help some of the world's most endangered animals, including fifteen black rhinos that tourists can see scooting around their area. The children can also enjoy dedicated areas to play or treetop challenges.

The money from which tourists buy tickets assists both the international project of this organisation and animal welfare. This Howletts Wild Animal Park has released over seventy gorillas into the wild, producing more than 35 babies. It also has released 125 Javan ebony langurs, 14 grizzled langurs, and 41 Javan gibbons in Indonesia. Additionally, they moved eight black rhinos in Africa from their Kent parks to Africa and gave birth to 25 babies together.
