GEORGE MARSHALL MEDICAL MUSEUM

George Marshall Medical Museum is one of the two museums in the University of Worcester’s City Campus. The other museum located alongside is the Infirmary which also focused upon medical history but of the city of Worcester and beyond. It’s listed amongst the most informative places to go in Worcester which displays the history of the medical and health care equipment for the past 250 years.

The distinctive and one of the most informative tourist attractions in Worcester, George Marshall Medical Museum is situated in the Charles Hastings Education Centre of the University of Worcester. The centre is located near the site of the Worcestershire Royal Hospital, where you can also find the museum. The visitors of the museum get to know more about Mr. George Marshall's fantastic collection of objects which he collected to showcase the evolution of the medical and health care equipment over 250-300 years.

The exhibited collection has death masks, an apothecary’s shop and an exclusive 19th century theatre. You’d also find some old medical academic records, photographs and documentation of oral medical histories here. The medical museum of George Marshall welcomes its visitors for free from Monday to Friday between 9 AM to 5 PM and it’s closed on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays.

Timings- The museum is functional between 9 AM to 5 PM throughout the week except on the days of Saturday and Sunday, when it’s closed.
