Ganesha Ratha is also a temple in Mahabalipuram. It was one of the ten rathas erected out of the pink granite within the group of monuments of the Pallava period of Mahabalipuram. It is a very different sight here than that of the other places that you include in your itinerary.
This ratha is a major example of monolith Indian rock-cut architecture dating back to the late seventh century which was the reigning period of King Mahendravarman I and his son Narasimhavarman I.
