About Fun N Food Village
Fun N Food Village is an amusement and thrilling water park located in New Delhi. It is one of the oldest water parks in Delhi and attracts many tourists and localities during summer to provide a safe escape from the heat of the sun.
The architecture of the park is built in high contrast to its two sections: one is the Fun N Food Village Amusement park which is filled with and rides, while the other is the Fun N Food Village Water Park which has amusing rides in and around water.
Fun N Food Park was constructed in the year 1993 and inaugurated by the then President late Sri Giani Zail Singh. The park is now not only run but also maintained by the leading outlet of the Polo franchise – Polo Amusement Park Limited.
The land rides inhabiting the Fun N Village Amusement Park include Polo Trooper, Rock and Roll, Tora Tora, Water Merry, Magic Carpet, Eagle Ridge, and a lot more.
The water slides and rides enthuse youngsters and adults alike and include Lazy River, Wave Pool, Family Slide, Twister, The Tornado Aquashoot, Speed Coaster, and Multiline Slide.
The best part about this park is that these slides aren’t just limited to kids or teenagers, but adults and senior citizens. It is open to people from all age groups, helping them enjoy a merry getaway from the cacophonous city life.
In fact, one of its creations, the Lazy River, which is a 400 feet long canal-like pool is built to serve the same purpose. Adults and kids alike can sit amidst the river and relax or sip on iced teas bought from the cafes and enjoy a splendid day at the park.
Other than this, there are in-built spas, saunas, and steam rooms that make for a rejuvenating experience within the periphery of the park.
How To Reach Fun N Food Village
Fun N Food Village is only 10 km away from the Delhi Airport, and will not take more than 25 minutes to reach. You can hire a taxi from the airport itself that will drop you to the location. Other than that, you can easily catch an online cab as they are quiet and convenient in Delhi.
Taking either buses or metros would ensure a longer route as the straight and most convenient way to cover this distance is via cabs.
Best Time To Visit Fun N Food Village
The best time to visit Fun N Food Village is in summers from April to August. However, in mid-August, Delhi starts receiving unpredictable showers, which may hinder your itinerary at the amusement park. On the other hand, the rest of the summer season is flustered with scorching heat of the sun, and the park provides a fun getaway on weekdays and weekends.
The water slides may be more crowded than usual, but the wait is worth the experience. The park hardly opens during winters due to the low temperatures in Delhi.
