CIJIN TIANHOU TEMPLE

Built back in 1673, the “Mazu temple” or locally named the “Cijin Tianhou Temple” is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Kaohsiung. Even if you are in short of time this is a place that you must not miss. This impressive temple marks its place in the national protected relics and features antique interiors.

The walls are studded with charming mosaics and decorative paintings that add up to the charm of this temple. Most of the artworks showcased in this temple by Chen Yu-Feng are in the Fujian style. If you are a history lover or are looking for a place to take a look into the early days of Taiwan culture then this is the right place for you to tour.
