This Hall was built of good quality masonry and weighed 50,000 tonnes when finished. It was designed as a museum and art gallery in the grand style of Edwardian Baroque. Additionally, the structure is lavishly decorated in the Baroque style, consisting of high-light galleries, an imperial stairway leading to the upper floor, and a barrel vault.
Cartwright Hall's architecture has some similarities to the Brussels Palais de Justice. They also have a beautiful cafe housed in the Art Gallery’s Refreshment room originally from 1904 and is the perfect place to visit Branford to enjoy a cup of coffee, unwind, and tempting snacks or freshly baked cake.
