Brighton Toy And Model Museum Overview

Brighton Toy and Model Museum was opened in 1991, and since then, it has been spreading smiles with its massive display of toys, DIY kits, railway layouts, dolls, and other fun-filled items from the Golden Age of Toy Making. It’s among the perfect places to visit in Brighton, along with family & kids, where they can enjoy rides, toys, and the Toy Museum Folk Club.

In 1991, Brighton Toy and Model Museum opened its gate to the local public and tourists. It flaunts a massive stash of toys, construction kits, four Victorian arches of working model railways, dolls, DIY kits, and other toys. It’s a paradise for train lovers as it features many toy train models and some of the most iconic trains from British history.

The museum also traces the complete Golden Age of Toy Making, starting from the late nineteenth century, the 1930s, up to the 1950s and 1960s, and the evolution & growth of the toy industry during this phase. For the assistance of guests, a tourist information point and help desk have been set up by the museum authorities. Tourists can also buy train models, toys, and dolls from the shop on the museum premises.
