BRADFORD INDUSTRIAL MUSEUM

John Moore constructed Moorside Mills in the early 1870s as a modest worsted spinning mill. The mills grew and evolved under numerous different owners, but then in 1970, the Moorside Mills was bought by Bradford Council from the W and J Whitehead to build an innovative museum.

Built-in the year 1875, by John Moore, Moorside Mill was a worsted spinning mill. Later in 1970, it was bought by Bradford Council from Messrs and finally by W&J Whitehead to create an innovative museum. The museum today has various permanent displays of steam power, engineering, textile machinery, printing machinery, and automobiles. The museum also has some exciting exhibitions programs that you can experience.

If you are interested in enjoying the splendor of Moorside House then you must visit where the manager of Mill side lived. You can also visit the Millworker’s terraced houses dressed to reflect three different time periods. Remember that photography on site is allowed but only for personal use.
