The distinct feature about this structure is that it has 2 big holes around 500 meters apart which look like two big eyes from a far distance so they are also termed as “Eyes of Al-Seeh” in native language. They were created because of heavy meteor showers around a thousand years ago. A decade or so ago, they were used as water reservoirs for irrigation by the nearby villages.
Ayun Seeh is translated as the eyes of the Seeh. This tourist attraction is actually considered as one of the oldest creations in Al Kharj Tourist Places. Believed to be created by meteor showers long ago, the two deep holes are at a distance of 500 metres away from each other. There was a time when they were filled with water and irrigated the surrounding lands, but today they are completely dried up and have become a popular tourist attraction due to their unique structure and historical importance.
An important sightseeing destination, the Ayub Seeh is surrounded by rocks and tourists like spending time in the area for its unique atmosphere. Recently a few Arab style structures have been added to the compound.
