The avenue features over 100 commemorative plaques, each dedicated to a different luminary of Hong Kong cinema, including international stars like Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan. A prominent statue of Bruce Lee is one of the avenue's highlights, drawing fans from around the world. The site also includes a statue of the cartoon character McDull, adding a touch of local culture and humor.
Renovated and reopened in early 2019, the Avenue of Stars now boasts a more modern design with enhanced amenities, including shaded seating areas and improved lighting. Interactive features, such as QR codes on the plaques, allow visitors to learn more about the stars via their smartphones. The promenade is not only a celebration of Hong Kong's cinematic heritage but also a vibrant public space for locals and tourists to enjoy.
