The monument of the Altar of the Fatherland was made in the honor of the first ruler of unified history, Victor Emmanuel II. The structure was designed by the famous architect Giuseppe Sacconi, who created this structure to honor Italy’s unity in the year 1870. The structure of the Altar of the Fatherland consists of a massive statue of the ruler Vittorio Emmanuel II. The Altar of the Fatherland is also known as Altare Della Patria in Italian and it also features statues of Goddess Victoria, Corinthian Columns, fountains, and staircases. Architect Guiseppe did not base the architecture on Roman styles, instead made it a fusion of Greek, German, and Teutonic styles. The end result of the fusion of the styles is the structure of the Altar of the Fatherland, one of the most stunning structures in the world. The Altar of the Fatherland does not require you to book tickets unless you wish to climb to the rooftop.
