AL RAHMA MOSQUE

Masjid Al Rahma, also known as the Floating Mosque or Fatima Al Zahra Mosque, is one of Jeddah's most attractive tourist attractions. Built on pillars on the Red Sea coast, this majestic white mosque appears floating in the water during high tide when the water level touches the base, hence the name. Featuring both traditional and modern architecture.

Among the most famous of Jeddah Tourist Places lies the Al Rahma Mosque, also known as the Floating Mosque. Built at the edge of the Jeddah Corniche, along the coast of the Red Sea, the mosque is known for its traditional Islamic style of art and architecture, and gives off the feeling of floating in the sea.

One of the best places to visit during sunrise and sunset, the mosque has beautiful stained-glass windows which add to the structure’s appeal. Built in 1985, the mosque becomes even more beautiful due to the optical illusions which occur here during high tide. It is also a stopover for people on their pilgrimage to Hajj.
