About Ajman Museum
Located in the heart of the city of Ajman, about 22 km from Sharjah and 28 Km from Dubai, Ajman Museum fairly lays a claim as one of the functioning buildings of the UAE. Housed in the precinct of the famous Ajman Fort, it is one of the foremost museums illustrating the earliest life of the Emiratis.
The notable exhibits of the museum include official manuscripts, photos, documents and other relics that trace Ajman’s evolution as an emirate. One of the most significant displays of the museum is an excavated cemetery which was discovered in the Al Mowaihat area. The archaeological finds include pottery and funeral jewellery that date back to 3000 B.C.
