Flora
The sal tree and various species of bamboo (especially Dendrocalamus strictus) are the major highlights of Kanha’s widespread flora. These species have distinctive flowering patterns. Bamboo species flower only once during a long life cycle that may span several decades.
Whereas Sal blooms annually over a period of numerous months and deciduous blooms throughout the year. Besides, aquatic plant such as water lilies can also be found here.
Fauna
