The tour unravels several gems of destinations. Around 90km from Rishikesh, Jayalgarh is away from the bustle of tourist spots. It rests on the voluble River Alaknanda. The calm and pristine environs make for a perfect backdrop for river rafting in Haridwar.
A towering summit of Tungnath, Chandrashila means 'Moon rock'. Legend has it, that this is the very place that Lord Rama meditated in after he defeated the demon-king Ravana. The top enchants with sights of magnificent Himalayan peaks such as Nandadevi, Trisul, Kedar Peak, Bandarpunch and Chaukhamba Peak. Other delights of the trip include high altitude lake of Deoriatal, quaint Sari hamlet and Chopta, the mini Switzerland of India.

Temperature Range: The temperature varies according to the trek. Night temperature will be around 12 -20 Celsius in Mar - Apr and around 20 - 25 Celsius in May.
In Oct – Nov period night temperature will be around 10 – 15 Celsius and December the night temperature can go down to about 3 – 5 Celsius.

Day 01: Haridwar – Jayalgarh
Day Highlights: Arrive at Jayalgarh, Rafting, Water Sports
Day Details: Arrive at Haridwar by morning and get transferred to Jayalgarh. Reach the stunning location of riverside camp that is flanked by Alaknanda River in front and fresh water stream on the right. Check in and unwind for a bit.
Indulge in lunch and drive up to Srikot/Srinagar. Get a briefing on rafting techniques by the instructors, post which lap up rafting 15km down till the camp. Manoeuvre class II+ rapids that will warm you up to the challenging rafting that will come later on. Along the way stop at Action Beach in Maletha, that is ideal for many water sports activities like Duckie rides (Kayaking on inflatable boats), river swimming, body surfing, cliff jumping & cataraft rides. Post rip-roaring times, raft down till the camp.
Relax and come late evening, relish in bonfire and dinner.
Day 02: Jayalgarh - Sari Village - Deoriatal back - Sari Village - Chopta (Drive/ 5hrs) (Trek/3hrs)
Day Highlights: Uphill trek, Deoriatal, Chaukhamba Peak
Day Details: Rise and shine early today and delight in a beautiful 4 hour drive to Sari, a charming hamlet. From here, trek uphill for around 2.5km to the lovely high altitude lake of Deoriatal. The water body gives you stunning views of the Himalayas. Ringed by valleys, the shining waters of the lake reflect Chaukhamba Peak. Unravel the surroundings and have packed lunch before you head to Sari Village.
Board a vehicle and enjoy the half an hour drive through winsome landscapes. Reach Chopta in 30 min, famously referred to the mini-Switzerland of India. Set camp in one of the dewy meadows. Those who do not wish to camp, basic rooms can be organised in one of the lodges that are there here.

Day 03: Trek from Chopta to Tungnath, trek Tungnath to Chandrashila Peak and back to Chopta, Drive from Chopta to Kund (Drive/1hr) (Trek/5-6hrs both ways)
Day Highlights: Uphill and downhill trek, Meadow Exploration, Nanda Devi Peak, Trishul Peak, Chaukhamba Peak
Day Details: This balmy day, wake up to mesmerising sights of Himalayan peaks. Begin your trek from Chopta with an ascend to the slopes of the meadow. Though demanding, the trail is short and extremely pictorial. After two hours, reach Tungnath temple. Especially striking here are the golden meadows, lofty mountains and deep valleys. Halt for some time for refreshments and then proceed the ascent to reach the top of Chandrashila Peak (4000m). The summit enchants with breath-taking sights. Witness the big Himalayan peaks such as Nanda devi, Trishul, Chaukhamba and the surrounding valleys. Go trigger happy and retreat to base camp at Chopta.
From here drive to Kund, check in to the lodge. Enjoy a refreshing shower followed by hot dinner. Overnight will be spent in the lodge.
Day 04: Kund – Jayalgarh – Devprayag - Haridwar (Drive -6hrs) (Rafting-3hrs)
Day Highlights: 25km rafting, Tour ends here
Day Details: Indulge in an early breakfast and drive down to Jayalgarh at 7:00 am. Once you reach, be briefed again with the trip leader on outdoor adventure rafting and be given safety instructions. Post that commence the exciting rafting for around 25 km from camp till Devprayag. You will challenge class II and class III rapids. Adding to the delight is outdoor adventure rafting through the confluence of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda which meet to form the Ganga at Devprayag.
After this is completed, change into fresh clothes in the changing tent and savour packed lunch. Drive back to Haridwar. Your trip ends here.
