Around the city, there are a total of seven large, authorised Merlion statues. The most popular one, shown below, is located near the foot of the Esplanade Bridge in 'Merlion Park.' This original Merlion structure stands proudly at 8.6 metres tall, spouting water from its mouth and staring out over Marina Bay. It has since been joined by a Merlion cub, which stands just 2 metres tall and is positioned near the original statue.
