The Bukit Reserve is an absolute delight for nature and trek lovers. The Bukit Timah hill stands tall spread at an area of 163 m. The reserve is full of rich flora and fauna that is native to Singapore. Despite having 40% of native flora and fauna, the area so occupied is only close to 1% to that of the total area in Singapore.

You will find rare species like Plantain Squirrel, the Greater Racket-tailed Drongo and the Singapore Freshwater Crab which is also a very rare form of crab that can be found only in Singapore. The Reserve is the only hill forest located in Singapore which in itself is a highlight because such reserves can be found only when they are above 300 meters from the sea level.

How long does it take to complete a visit to the park?

If you have decided to take a trail atop the hill, ascend and descend will take approximately 1.5 hours to complete. The entire visit to the reserve will easily take 3-4 hours and if you include the trek it might take a bit longer. Since the park is open only till 7.00 PM we advise you to experience the bright and chirpy mornings and complete the entire tour in daylight.

How long is Bukit Timah Hill?

The Bukit Timah Hill also fondly called as the Mount Everest of Singapore stands 163 meters tall. The hill is accessible and has proven to be a popular point especially for trekkers and nature freaks. Entry to the hill can be done via Hindhede road. The trail to the peak of the summit can get risky if precautions are not taken.
